The V type ball valve is a special kind of ball valve. Its closure member is the V opening on the spherical segment. With sharp edges, the V opening forms shearing action with the seat during the rotation process of the spherical segment. It has powerful cutting force to the media. The V opening on the spherical segment forms a sector area with the seat flow channel. During the rotation process, it can change the flow channel sectional area and carry out precise control of media. It is a control valve with rotary motion. Its has the same sealing performance as ordinary ball valves, so that it has both control and on-off functions. When equipped with a pneumatic or electric actuator, it can be widely applied in industrial process automatic control systems.
Body integral structure: The body adopts an integral side entry structure with good structural rigidity, which does not easily cause external leakage.
Upward and downward self-lubricating bearing: The body is installed with upward and downward lubricating bearing, which has high contact area with the stem, high carrying capacity, low friction coefficient, so that the valve torque is reduced.
According to the requirements for media and service conditions, the seat can use metal hard seal or PTFE soft seal: The sealing face of the metal hard seal seat is subject to hard alloy overlaying welding, the ball face is subject to hard chrome plating or spray welding, ion nitriding and other hardening treatment, so as to prolong service life of the sealing face and improve heat resistance. The soft seal PTFE seat or reinforced PTFE seat has good sealing performance, corrosion resistance and wide application range.
Good economic utility: The body is light and the stem torque is low. The pneumatic or electric actuator with which it is equipped is small. Compared with other types of control valves, its performance-price ratio is high.
Wide adaptability to media: The media will not be easily deposited in the cavity due to the shearing force between the V opening and seat, and the smooth and valve cavity flow channel. Therefore, in addition to being suitable for liquid media, it is more suitable for system control of media containing fibers and solid particles.
Small flow precise control: Small Cv value precise control can be realized through the machining of special V opening in the small-size plug.
